Arkhefield is a progressive, people based Practice supporting people based projects.
Our client friendly team is highly regarded within the built environment industry. We value innovation, integrity and quality in all our work and our team based culture and work practices represent this vision.
Arkhefield is involved with social, cultural and educational institutions as part of an interest in contributing back to the community. We provide sponsorship and contribute to a number of key organisations including The Smith Family, QAGOMA Chairman’s Circle and Brisbane Writers Festival, alongside other creative industry initiatives throughout the region.
The education of future generations of designers is important to us and we are actively involved through tutoring, guest critiquing and participation on review panels with a number of Queensland universities’ architecture and interior design faculties.
THE SMITH FAMILY
We are proud to be involved with The Smith Family Tertiary Scholarship Program by supporting a tertiary student who is currently studying architecture. We are extremely proud of this initiative and the opportunity it provides this individual in pursuing their studies for the next two years. The Smith Family is a national children’s charity helping disadvantaged young Australians to succeed at school and break the cycle of disadvantage. Supporting a student through school and university and investing in their future is the best way to prevent them from experiencing a lifetime of poverty.
THE CHAIRMAN’S CIRCLE
The Chairman’s Circle brings together a group of industry leaders committed to supporting the development of innovative programs and exhibitions at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA). QAGOMA connects people and art through a dynamic program of Australian and international exhibitions that showcase works from a diverse range of historical and contemporary artists. Arkhefield is proud to be a part of this group, with collective funds supporting exhibitions at Queensland’s premier visual arts institution.
BRISBANE WRITERS FESTIVAL
Brisbane Writers Festival (BWF) enriches and connects Queensland communities through stories and ideas. BWF is a year-round organisation producing events and activities celebrating not only books and literature, but conversation, public engagement and the value of ideas. Arkhefield is delighted to be involved with BWF, most recently as Providing Partner for Brisbane 2050: Imagining Our Future City. The event engaged the community in a conversation about Brisbane’s future self. People contributed their hopes for the city’s future, joining a panel of speakers for a good old fashion town hall meeting as they boldly designed a vision for Brisbane’s future.
