Peter has over 15 years experience working as a graphic designer in the built environment sector, he enjoys working with other talented creative professionals and believes design can drive change to enrich lives when put to practical use. It was this outlook that attracted him to Arkhefield over five years ago and he has lived this value in the projects he has led and contributed to since joining the practice.

Peter’s has indepth experience in wayfinding strategy and design and some of his most notable work can be seen on the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, Student One on Wharf Street and Fortitude Valley Music Hall; as well as his award-winning multilingual pedestrian wayfinding system for Brisbane City Council.

Peter has recently been working with the Queensland Government on the Shared Service Delivery Environment - Social Housing workshops. This involved taking a human centred design approach to develop illustrated customer journey maps that focussed on addressing homelessness and social housing issues in Brisbane.

He has been responsible for developing numerous design guidelines for Brisbane City Council, Toowoomba Regional Council and Gold Coast City Council. Most recently delivering the Design-led City Traditional Housing: Alterations and Extensions Design Guide for the Brisbane City Council.

Peter has a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Sunshine Coast University and has lectured in Wayfinding design at Griffith University. When he isn’t at Arkhefield he is an illustrator and enjoys photography and surfing.
