“It is very rewarding to align the design of a project to a client's intent and social responsibility, resolve the building’s complexities and uses, see its construction and then deliver an experience that changes people's lives.”
Jeffrey’s proficiency in guiding our clients and team through all stages of a project stems from thirty years of architectural and construction experience in both large complex projects and residential design.
Long-term tenures at some of Brisbane’s most notable practices developed Jeffrey’s skills in complete project management - from client briefing and design evolution to construction and occupation. Acknowledged as a skilful all-rounder, he has contributed to some of Brisbane’s most significant architecture, including the Millennium Arts Library Project and Brisbane International Airport.
Jeffrey is passionate about providing sound, well-considered design strategies and solutions that produce a building of enjoyment. With a strong focus on design, process, communication and practical problem-solving, he also has a specialised interest in the craftsmanship of handmade fabrication.
Appreciative of the large team participation and mentoring he has benefited from throughout his career, Jeffrey now supports new talent as an APE Part 3 examiner for the Board of Architects Queensland and is an Australian Institute of Architects Fellow.
Away from the office, Jeffrey continues his appreciation of buildings with substance or historical significance by documenting historical buildings using 360 x 180 degree panoramic photographs. A ‘chronic dissembler’, he tinkers away on a variety of hands-on projects, including the current restoration of an old timber rowing scull.
