“To me good design is something that is sustainable and has a positive contribution to the public realm, connected to place and invokes an emotional connection with its people.”

Making a positive contribution to the public realm through sustainable and thoughtful architecture is important to graduate architect Leah Hartley. She is drawn to understanding her client’s needs and translating them into well thought out, innovative ideas that become spaces that people enjoy being in.

Leah joined Arkhefield for the opportunity to work on commercial, residential, hospitality and large-scale public projects. She is currently honing her skills and working on a mixed-use development on Breakfast Creek Road.

Leah has experience working for practices in South East Queensland and has completed study tours in Penang and India as well as a semester abroad in Munich. She has a Bachelor of Architectural Design and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Queensland. Outside of work, Leah likes to draw and has a strong interest in all types of art.
