“I enjoy creating interiors that make people feel comfortable in the build environment through sustainable building practices and design psychology. People spend much of their lives inside, it’s important that we put as much thought and planing as possible into interior spaces.”
Arkhefield graduate interior designer Millicent Griffiths is fascinated by the way people interact with each other and their surroundings. Her design philosophy is to enrich people’s lives through the inner built environment and she is passionate about making people comfortable without negatively impacting the environment.
Millicent was drawn to Arkhefield because of its multidisciplinary approach and she thrives when working within the interiors team alongside architects and graphic designers. Recently she worked on Waterfront Place precinct, Millicent also works across a range of projects including residential, multi-residential, hospitality and commercial.
Millicent enjoys all stages of a project, but derives a great deal of satisfaction when a concept moves to the documentation phase. When she is not at Arkhefield, she draws inspiration from photographing the outdoors as well beautiful houses. Millicent has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art and a Bachelor of Design (Honours) Interior Design, both from Queensland University of Technology.
