Seaview House is a place of retreat. The form is kept simple and low to the ground, enabling internal spaces to connect easily with the garden.
Hunters Hill House
Designed as a series of garden rooms that entwine the home with the existing landscape, Hunters Hill House responds to the unique nature of the battleaxe site while reflecting the clients’ combined Italian and Sri Lankan heritage.
The client brief was to create “a house that looks like anything but a house”. A strong statement has resulted in Arkhefield developing strong aesthetic form encapsulating a comfortable family home and dynamic gathering space to provide seclusion in a bustling city fringe suburb.
Arkhefield worked with the client to develop spaces for extended relatives to gather with their families; the existing Queenslander repositioned to allow the new addition to embrace the most desirable light and breezes from a north facing landscaped courtyard and pool in the new Brookes Residence.
