Northbridge Music Hall

A Cultural Catalyst for Perth’s Entertainment Scene

Currently in design by Arkhefield for global entertainment leader Live Nation, Northbridge Music Hall is set to become a landmark venue in the heart of Perth’s cultural district. Purpose built to elevate the city’s live performance offering, the venue will fill a critical gap in Perth’s mid-size venue market and serve as a dynamic platform for music, comedy, and theatre.

Designing for Experience and Flexibility

The venue will feature two distinct performance spaces—a main room and a smaller club room, each equipped with state-of-the-art staging, acoustics, and production infrastructure. Designed to host over 120 shows in its first year, the hall will accommodate a wide range of performances, from emerging local acts to international touring artists.

Arkhefield’s design approach focuses on creating a venue that is both technically advanced and deeply connected to place. The building’s striking façade and elevated streetscape are conceived to become a new cultural icon for Northbridge, while the interior prioritises audience immersion, artist comfort, and operational efficiency.

Urban activation and community impact

Located at 77 Francis Street, the Music Hall is strategically positioned to enhance the vibrancy of Northbridge’s entertainment precinct. The design integrates with the surrounding urban fabric, offering a welcoming public interface and contributing to the precinct’s night-time economy.

The project is expected to generate at least 70 direct employment opportunities and deliver significant economic benefits to Perth’s hospitality and live music sectors

Cultural acknowledgement and legacy

Arkhefield and Live Nation acknowledge the Whadjuk Nyoongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the venue is being developed. The design honours the rich traditions of storytelling, song, and celebration, and aspires to create a space that fosters cultural exchange and creative expression.

"Northbridge Music Hall is set to become a cornerstone of Perth’s cultural landscape and a dynamic space for live entertainment."
